The Andalucian capital and there is nowhere else in Spain that complies so closely with the tourists perception of Spain.  For it is here that flamenco, bullfighting and fiesta are a way of life.  There is a life and passion which seems to ooze out of every part of this city and never more so than during the Feria de April  when everyone seems to hit the streets of Seville for a week long party.

Seville is an easy day trip,  less than a  2 hour drive from Casa Sonana.

There is plenty to see including the Cathedral which is now reckoned to be the world's largest church.  There are steps from inside the Cathedral to the top of the 90m high Giralda which is the minaret of the former Mosque. Grab yourself a guide, they have some fascinating insights for you.   The climb to the top provides some great views but stay at the bottom and buy the postcard if you've got a weak heart! Next to the Cathedral is the Alcázar which is a great introduction to Moorish art especially if you're going to visit Granada's Alhambra Palace later during your visit to Spain.

Don't miss out on the tapas.  Seville is credited with the invention and has more than a thousand bars where the choice of food, is virtually unlimited, from seafood to ham and sausage and from vegetable to cheese. The Sevillians actually make a meal of. them, moving from bar to bar and trying one dish at a time.
