Andalucians love life.

This is no more exemplified in their ubiquitous fiestas and ferias. Sometimes it seems that every weekend has some significance – pertaining to religion or the country – which prompts to the local people to go out and have fun.   

These fiesta's,  especially the local ones, are great fun and if you can incorporate your holiday around them, you wont be disappointed.  And don't be shy,  the locals will welcome you into their fiesta, sharing their life stories, their wine and their love of life !

From the religious festival of Semana Santa to the celebration of the country life in the 'Romeria', the towns and villages surrounding Casa Sonana always seem to have something to celebrate on the horizon. We've included some of the more noted festivals below and their dates.

• Semana Santa  (easter celebrations) :2^{nd -} 8^th April 2007.
• Romeria in Arriate :  1^st Sunday in May.
• Romeria in La Cimada  :  2^nd Sunday in May
• Local Communions :  every Sunday in May.
• Feria de Alcala :  15^th August.
• Feria de Arriate :  29^th June
• Feria Setenil :  11^th August.
• Feria de Ronda :  8 – 9^th September.
