In addition to sampling the local delicacies, reading from our library or taking a few laps of the pool – you can take part in all the surrounding area has to offer.

Golf Andalucia….it's not called the Costa del Golf for nothing. Some of best golf courses in Spain and the golfing world are less than an hours drive away.

Surfing….for real aficionados can be found on the Costa del al Luz, an hour way from Casa Sonana. Here you'll find, beautiful, natural beaches which stretch for miles and some of the Europe's best locations for surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing. There are many surf schools in the Tarifa area for the beginner too.

Nightlife……if the casinos and clubs of the coast take your fancy, you're only an hours drive away from Marbella and Puerto Banus.

Horse riding…. in a culture steeped in equestrianism with those inimitable Sevillian horses.

Walking….. is plentiful, whether gentle strolls or more demanding treks in the high sierra, Casa Sonana is surrounded by national parks which protect one of Spain's and Europe's greatest wildernesses.

Go High……..Mountain and rock climbing, whether it be in the gorges of El Chorro or the cliff faces of the Sierra de Ronda, this area has much to offer the keen climber.

Go Low…….explore the caves at Cuevas del gato and cuevas de la pileta. The latter is a national treasure in Spain and the caves have Neolithic and Paleolithic cave drawings. Daily guided tours with a 3rd generation member of the family of shepherds who discovered the caves when tending sheep in the early 1900's, give you a fantastic 'Indiana Jones' experience of these caves inhabited by our ancestors more than 15,000 years ago.

Cycle….in a nation where cycling is national obsession. As you travel around the country roads around Casa Sonana you will come across many keen cyclists out testing themselves on the high passes of the sierras.
